Success is built on trust. Marketing Action Plans (MAPs) are master marketing plans that provide a blueprint to prioritize and build trust with the target audiences who determine your success. Annual Success Statement and MAP reviews help ensure that your action plan stays lined up with your strategic objectives. Other events that can prompt a MAP review include changes in market conditions; a strategic partner or staff hire or departure that has the potential to respectively accelerate or decelerate your goals; an acquisition or disposition that affects a portion or all of your organization; organizational and strategic direction changes implemented by a new board of directors; as you consider a branding or rebranding initiative; etc. Bottom line, do not hesitate to revisit and edit your Success Statement and corresponding MAP because, without a current and well-defined marketing plan, you’ll waste money and not have the results you want.
